We are proud to say that it has now been a whole year since RLS Europe was officially set up to trade Rapid Locking System products in Europe.
Great progress has been achieved! We opened our new warehouse in the UK and despite earlier stock issues we are now in a good position with stocks in the UK meaning fast deliveries to you. Our aim is 100% delivery the first time in the future.
Moving forwards
- We aim to turn around orders within a week of receipt
- We use DHL for the majority of our deliveries and they have proved to be extremely reliable
- Larger orders (pallets) are now sent overland via our dedicated carriers and even with the issues constantly raised by European Customs, that is working well
- Each delivery is now fully photographed providing a true record of exactly what was dispatched to you. This makes any delivery questions very simple to answer
Service changes
As we strive to be better, we have made some service changes to enhance our service and try to keep your costs down and profit up. As soon as possible in April we will change our delivery charges. As you know they have historically been based on order value.
- In future we will simply charge you whatever DHL charges us
- Your order will be weighed and the delivery charge by DHL established
- Then it will be added to your order acknowledgement for you to clearly see before we dispatch your goods
This will give you complete clarity on shipping charges and the opportunity to arrange shipping yourselves if you wish. In most cases you will be making a big saving using this route. It is fairer and more straightforward and most importantly it is 100% transparent!
Orders received that are over €10,000 (net) will be shipped to you free of shipping charges.
New range
We have added two new fitting sizes (XL) to our range. These are 1 5/8” and 2 1/8” sizes. We believe we are the only company to supply these sizes in HVAC-R currently.
Along with these new sizes goes a range of new 32Kn jaws and a new 32Kn tool. Please see the new catalogue and price list.
Discontinuation
We have discontinued the Klauke tool that we originally supplied without batteries and charger. Following many complaints that the battery and charger was not included in the kit, Klauke has issued two new versions (with Euro plug and with UK plug) of the tool in a heavy duty case that now includes, both the battery and the charger.
Obviously, you will require the Euro plug version within Europe and UK plug for the UK. Please note that these versions are more expensive with the battery and charger included. The old version is now discontinued. It is, of course, possible for you to purchase tools directly from Klauke outlets in Europe if that is more convenient for you.
Exhibitions
We will be involved in several exhibitions in Europe this year and next. Mostra Convegno, Chillventa, ISH, Installer Show (UK) to name but a few. In all of these we will point our country enquiries directly back to our distributors in each country.
Expansion
We will be expanding our sales force significantly in Europe this year to train more contractors and end users to drive business toward our distribution network.
